The Leaguers Incorporated was founded in 1943 by the late Mary B. Burch and incorporated in 1948. The agency’s mission for over 50 years has been to enhance the quality of life for children and families through diverse programming that fosters self-growth, pride in one’ community, personal empowerment and the attainment of self-sufficiency. We believe in opportunity through education. Goals include assisting youth in self-realization by allowing them to express their talents, hobbies and specialties; stressing civic responsibilities and awakening a sense of economic self-sufficiency.
Burch Charter School of Excellence (BCSE) was founded with the mission to enable students to reach their intellectual and personal potential. In partnership with families and the community, the School will work with integrity and respect to realize the shared vision of enabling students to become life-long learners and effective contributors to society. Burch Charter School of Excellence, a sister agency of the Leaguers, Inc. opens in September 2008.
Burch Charter School of Excellence, a public school, is committed to providing best practices for educating young children in an environment that enables them to learn and meet high academic standards. Its curriculum will emphasize the basics of literacy, mathematics and technology.
